Skoda hinted at a new model to fit between the Octavia and Fabia with the Vision D concept car at the 2011 Geneva motor show. The next generation Chevrolet Malibu is set to be unveiled at the forthcoming Shanghai Motor Show. However, for those unable to make it to the Peoples Republic, Chevrolet has announced that the car will be launched simultaneously via Facebook. The Malibu has only been teased so far, but from the picture provided, it is clear the car will sport Camaro inspired LED taillamps.
With just weeks left in the year, Chevrolet’s hot-selling Camaro looks like a lock to win the pony-car sales title in 2010, topping the Ford Mustang for the first time in 25 years. So far this year--Camaro’s first full sales year since production ended after the 2002 model year--Chevy has sold 75,685 Camaro coupes. Mustang sales totaled 68,264 through the first 11 months of the year.
